Flutes and more flutes

Tonight we went to hear the students of the sixth Llangenny Flutes week give a concert. Here they are lining up as a flute band, with bass flutes to the right. It's not well in focus, but the best I could do! The standard was unbelievably high, tuning and ensemble impeccable. Most of them are 16-18 years old. I used to play the flute at that age, and thought I was pretty good - but this bunch are streets ahead of anything I could do! It is a great privilege to hear them.
