The Bert Effect

Snowfall followed by rain and wind. The event tomorrow was postponed as normanby Hall erred on the side of caution for both the Parkrun this morning and orienteering tomorrow. However the night event at Beecroft was permitted with the snow giving way to rain. I did consider staying at home but decided to give it a go. Despite misgivings as I drove on unfamiliar roads I was pleased I made the effort. Very wet slushy conditions underfoot and night navigation rusty. However I got round.
Mad? I would say not. With Richard’s condition it gives me time out where I need to concentrate on where I am going and not a myriad of other concerns and what to do about them. Mission accomplished for a few hours.
