Drains

Every so often, normally when it's hammering down with rain, one of us in the close wanders out to clear the drains of leaves and soil washed down the roads.  The hills around here are full of streams and the rushing water doesn't take long to erode the surface of the roads and re-open potholes.

But this drain is blocked and has resulted in quite a bit of overflow down our lane . . .
