WET OSTEOSPERMUM

Went over to see Mum today.  Checked to ensure the roads were OK first of course.  The largest of the Grange's two golf courses is under water again.  The repairs they did to the railway line after the disrailment earlier this year is meant to have solved that I understood, but it hasn't.

A few large puddles but otherwise the roads were OK, A590, A591 and M6 into Morecambe.

Mum was doing OK.  Her back garden had flooded, but it always does and is low down.  It is now resinding again.

Had lunch and a good chat and then came home.  We caught glimpses of  blue skies but it didn't last long.  New views across The Bay, you could see but not well,  so we didn't stop.

The A6 was fine, a few puddles here and there and some partially flooded fields but not too bad.

I saw this osteospermum in a neighbours garden and thought it would make a reasonable blip.

Sad for all those had festivals on this week as it would have had an effect.  Ulverston Dickensian Festival still went ahead and did reasonably OK I think but a lot of coaches booked for yesterday had to cancel as they couldn't get there.  Such a shame after all that planning.  Ulverstonians are very resilient though.

My heart goes out to anyone who is suffering severed flooding due to Storm Bert.

Do take care everyone and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
