Wet wool
Storm Bert has been a complete hooligan, causing floods, trees down, blocked roads and horrible driving conditions.
Our daughter was visiting so Son 2 came over too. We had brunch.
Then I went out in my wellies to look for photos. The river Alne is well up and in the photo is about to burst all over the fields. I expect it has done so by now. The sheep will be safe though.
The water level is usually well below these reeds.
The wind has died down now and the rain has stopped.
I like this sheep and its lovely streaky face. I don’t think it’s a badger face but I’m not sure what breed it is. It could be a Swaledale but their faces are usually more solidly black.
Anyway it looks a bit damp.
