I've not seen a Chaffinch in the garden for a very long time so was delighted to see this little female looking expectantly up at the feeders this morning.
An interesting walk with Luna in the 50+ mph winds this morning when we were both blown off balance several times. It's still blowing a hoolie, but hopefully should die down around midnight, and so mild at 17 degrees too.
Surprisingly, after 24 hours of strong winds, there are still several leaves on the walnut, field maple and oak trees.
