I had to nip to the sorting office to grab a parcel, but Himself had swanned off with the car, leaving me with just the van on the drive. At first, I thought, “Nah, I’ll wait.” But then I gave myself a talking-to: “Come on girl, pull up your big girl pants—it’s a VW! You’ve been driving them longer than most people have been alive. What’s your excuse?” So, I hopped in, drove it like a pro, and slung it into a parking space on the first try. Moral of the story? Never underestimate yourself—or a woman on a mission.
