Rainbow once more and Fate
Driving the ascending road along Souda Bay, I noticed at times this rainbow and thus I decided to taka a side road with little traffic, at Kalami I did, in order to take some photo's from this rainbow. And then I continued my route onto Iraklion where I was to collect my Benjamin on his arrival there.
Sweetheart had decided to stay home, as his inflamation hadn't ended yet. And driving alone, I decided to make a little D-tour via Kalyves and Vrisses, where I visited friends and then onwards to Iraklion where I visited Sweetheart's koumbaroi, as programmed before.
I'd visited them on various accounts with Sweetheart in their house on Agia Pelagia. The land there where they'd realized their home, was her dowry; land belonging to her family. Their home where I visited them this time is in Iraklion city and was built by his father; that's how in Greece families realize their properties and homes for themselves and their descends.
In the extra a photo from Sweetheart's Koumbaroi and their son. They're most happy he's alive, having survived a terrible car accident in Summer 2023... the light is out in his right eye and apart from the severe bodiy injuries (learning to walk again, not having full control of his one arm) he's suffered brain injury too and altho' he can talk, his talk is repetative and simple; endlessly asking "Why.?" and "What is?" ... His parents had not ever imagined they'd have to nurse their son at the age of 30 years and onwards, while they grow older and older... his mum had just started her life as pensioner, when he had his car accident. I do admire them lots for their patience and love for their son... what the future will bring? Que sera! They do have a daughter who's a little younger and who's doing alright as a schoolteacher (like her mum was :-)
