twinned with trumpton

By MrFT

The day was spent traipsing out to Haggs and back. The first train (its not that dramatic... 0934) to Camelon where trolleys were snapped before we followed the canal towpath west for about 5 miles, trying to keep the pup out the water... it was not a day to be getting wet and then getting blasted by the fresh breeze. But with the cooler weather, it was noticeably quieter than the previous month's excursion.

Having spent a cordial 10 minutes on the de facto MILs doorstep we set about heading back to the station. We'd thought about bussing it but couldn't work out how to! So we walked to Bonnybridge (it does at least have a bridge) and had some soup before the bus carted us the final few miles to the station.

Predictably the 3.30pm train was cancelled so after 5.5 hours out in the cold, what's another half hour, eh??? Thanks Scotrail.

Back to town, dinner etc and then off into the night on the bike
