Dr Who at parkrun

G was excited to be dressed a Tom Baker Dr Who/RD at parkrun.  He made some classic puns during his welcome speech, including explaining how to keep K9s safe and renaming the timekeepers as 'Timelords'. All good fun. Blip taken by photographer R. 

As VC I was very impressed to learn that next week's pacer running group from Great Baddow had all turned up a week early to practice their timing ability. We can expect some very accurate pacing next week.

We gave out lots of jelly babies and generally had a good time. The wind was very strong, though we missed the worst of storm Bert so my time was down, as was everyone's.  I enjoyed playing cat and mouse with J and racing to the finish . She is normally much faster than me and we were each determined to run our best. Official time of 32:32 was a bit of a disappointment, but I kept running. 

Sophie's for breakfast to find Sophie swollen eyed, as she had taken her much-loved dog to be put down at the vets the previous day. The food was fab, as usual. 

Then home to watch the garden birds battle the wind and enjoy the warm cosy couch. The house is littered with parkrun stuff, drying out ready for next week.
