Gone to Pot

A repeat performance of Blanche – it becomes clear what attracted Desmond in the first place.  T-shirts are available, but on them she is smoking her pipe, and kippers.  She can still crack walnuts by looking at them.  She also holds against beetroot hummus.  But, there again, everyone should.  She stills waxes lyrically about the first time she shared a tender moment with Desmond.  It was inside a beach hut in Brora – a chilly Tuesday afternoon in March 1974.  I don’t think there’s a blue plaque.  Immediately after the event she tried to sell Dessie a ticket for the Farmer’s Ball.  ‘You know I don’t like dancing’ he said.  ‘It’s not a dance it’s a raffle’ she said.  She still makes a good cuppa – it’s more like Cuprinol than tea – and will squeeze Desmond’s bags if he asks her.  She likes being gleefully naughty; it’s all on our behalf.   The one thing never to do is to mention her invisible friend.

The Procurator Fiscal indicates other Blip appearances have been taken into consideration.
