A view from Jeanneb

They’re coming!

It was bright first thing but it wasn’t long before heavy rain showers kicked in again.

A good sing of many of our Christmas repertoire songs ready for a full weekend of singing gigs in Bingley and Baildon coming up.

Over the moor to Guiseley for a shop in M&S and a coffee before returning home.

It was one of those dry moments when we got back so out of curiosity I had a look in the bed beneath the Magnolias to see if there were any signs of early spring buds coming through where I had recently raked away the leaves. I was prompted by Blipper Just Sally’s post this morning of snowdrops pushing through in her garden. She lives in Surrey so the likelihood here in Yorkshire was remote but … here they are! Not snowdrops but the very early crocus that sometimes even bloom in December and fill this bed in January/February.
What an uplifting sight tiny as they are, even in dismal darkest November the garden offers hope!
Thanks for the prompt  Sally.

Oh and I should  have waited another day for the Christmas  cactus flower - extra.
