The common names is pot marigold

The genus is native to the region stretching eastward from Macaronesia (a group of islands in the North Atlantic around the Europe-North Africa region) to Iran, with the whole Mediterranean region in between.

I found this one flower open and facing the winter sun.
It's in a warm sheltered garden and I guess that is why it is flowering mid-winter.
