Never Understood

Did a bit of a garden tidy in the cold wind and this is now the only colour in the garden. Finished the excellent Never Understood book, a memoir by the Reid brothers of their lives and their band, The Jesus & Mary Chain. I’ve got a couple of their early singles but was never a big fan, too much punk, posturing and drugs for me. But the book is a great insight into their lives and how they managed to go from Glasgow slums to fame and freedom, all through their own work, with a lucky break here and there. Worth a read even just to find out what it’ was like to be brought up in Glasgow in the 1960s.
