Last Visit

After heading up from Peebles on Friday having got the first call from the hospital about dad, then got the second and final one at 4 on Sunday. The staff were all lovely and they did everything to keep him comfortable and with dignity but he passed away just before 10 at night. I’d been just about to ask him if he wanted to listen to a little music but his eyes opened and then the breathing stopped and he was at peace. 92, and he’d had a good life but sad.
