The Irish Cat.
When I retired 27 years ago I went to Ireland on holiday and came home with a cat. The owners of the cottage I rented had made a pet of it as a kitten then thrown it out once it became an adult. At the time there was no organisation to rehome cats in Ireland so I brought it home where it was greeted by two hostile residents. Nothing would make the three of them be friends so , after a couple of months trying, I contacted the Cat Protection League. They found an owner who only wanted one cat. I made a large donation and the Irish cat was named Sinbad and went off to a good home.
