I've been so busy today. The first thing my boss asked me was if I could put together advent arrangements for our extra opening hours on Wednesday. Of course, I said and she offered to be a sounding board for me, and I gladly took that offer.
Tomorrow they'll go and buy more Christmas plants, so I have more to play with in the arrangements.
I started with crocheting the small scarves to the snowmen until the break, and did some other smaller chores too.
During our break we had a customer coming in, and when I went in to our shop/work room, I saw that it was one of our regular customer and said hello to her. She was contemplating buying a wreath for her inside door and I showed her those we got. She bought two, and then she told me she was a bit worried about one of the plants she's storing in the Greenhouse during the winter. I told her we could go and have a look, and we did. Fortunately my boss came over and I handed 'the case' over to her.
Last week my boss showed me a 'trophy pot' and told me that she thought it almost impossible to sell, and I agreed. We laughed about it, and today I remember that pot and though perhaps I can do something with it... I asked my boss what she thought and she told me to go for it and when/if we sell it, we'll have a feast!
I thought I plant one Hyacinth in the pot, but one of my coworker suggested 2 or 3, so I took 3 pink ones, moss and a fir cone with a branch attached to it. After I was done, my boss thought it so nice she was contemplating buying it herself! That's a good compliment! I made two more in pots and then one larger metal pot in grey for a Poinsettia and ivy. Then calculate how much for everything: pot, plants, work and 'stuff' (soil, moss, work...).
I had some customers too, and the wooden fir for the boss (I told you about in Fridays blip...) was ready, so I told him when he hurried past. Just so he'd know it's ready when he have the time to buy it.
When I was done with the arrangements I placed three of them in our colder Greenhouse and one of them (the Poinsettia one) in Greenhouse 1 on the table where we have plants not for sale. We'll bring it out on Wednesday afternoon. Then finished the crocheted scarves.
We also have handymen in the Greenhouse. They're remodelling our two toilettes and taking everything out. When my work hours were done, one of the handymen came and told us he was going to start tearing down the tiles and it would create a lot of dust and noice. I told him that I'm leaving work right now and need to change, so he waited until I was done. :)
Home to rest and recharge my batteries.
