Sunset Colours
So this is what happens when you take a picture of the sunset from a gently moving boat. I kinda liked the abstract effect and the way the colours bleed together, so here it is blipped!
Worked until the afternoon and then mum and I went on a trip to Corfu Town and Vidos island - a small place just off of the town harbour that is largely uninhabited apart from one family who stay there to run a restaurant throughout summer and some rabbits and pheasants!
Went for a wander through town, bought a new bag and some icecreams and some gifts and then found my colleagues Simone and Dee, who were guiding, and strolled back down to the harbour to get on the boat.
The boat took us past the two fortresses, Mon Repos, where the Duke of Edinburgh was born, and up to the lagoon that holds both the airport runway and Mouse Island, before taking us over to Vidos for dinner. We sat outside with a Greek band playing and were served a vast quantity of bread, tzatziki, greek salad, chips and rotisserie chicken, which was delicious. As we got the boat back to the harbour the sun set into the most beautiful colours and we got an incredible view of the new fortress all lit up for the night.
It's almost felt like being on holiday while mum's been here... almost.
