Jazz Admiration

This is actually from Friday evening, the student Big Band. The older gentleman in the right is a visiting professor from the University of Iowa. He did some clinics with the students for a couple of days and played with the band. He played the alto saxophone amazingly well. He “owned” that instrument, he actually made it sound quite lyrical. The younger man is a student and plays electric guitar. I think the photo shows a certain amount of mutual admiration. So I’ll use it for today’s MonoMonday theme of someone you look up to.
