Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

Farewell, Antrim

We woke to some lovely light, and pink skies.  This was the view from the door of our apartment.

We packed up, paid for our electricity, and were on our way before 11.  We chose a route that meandered down the side of Lough Neagh - but sadly the views were not very exciting.  And the intermittent rain showers meant I got no further photos.  And then we had to work hard to find a route that avoided Dublin.

We did have quite decent weather for the drive, but I found the low lying sun shining straight into my eyes a lot of the time quite stressful - so much so I was glad when it clouded over, and then later when it got fully dark!

Still, a long but uncomplicated journey home - just over 400km door to door, with one charging stop for the car, in Portlaoise, and several refuelling and comfort stops for the humans.

It's been a lovely break, but it's good to be home in our own beds.
