A Dawn Swim
Another predawn route march down to Princes Street and the bus to Porty. A quick ride - you can never predict when it will be a late bus and a slow journey or like this morning a bus on time and a quick journey. We glided east seamlessly, catching the first light of the day over the dark silhouette of Arthur’s Seat. I actually arrived too early but was eventually joined by 5 other stalwarts.
We learned our lesson from last Thursday of not staying in the water so long that hypothermia is waiting in the wings so it was much more like a winter dip where there is not much tarrying. In the briny.
I was home to a hot shower at 9:30 and sitting with my hot coffee in Söderberg at 10am.
Without a noticeable wind and a sun which has been coming and going it is much milder than the last few days .
As I type I am awaiting the arrival of the Elgin twins who are both now at Edinburgh Uni and coming for Söderberg pizzas accompanied by a quizzing by GMa.
