Art for art’s sake.

My good lady was entertaining an old work colleague for lunch today.
So I ventured into the city’s art galleries.
We are in Edinburgh very fortunate to have so many great galleries on our doorstep.
I wandered through the “German Christmas Market” but not impressed with most of the stalls. (Couple of decent stalls though)
Anyway it was a most enjoyable day.
Main blip - Monarch of the Glen by Landseer. Extra’s (1)Murder of David Rizzio.(2)Landscape with a Huntsman & Dead Game which was owned by William Randolph Hearst.(3)The Porteous Mob by James Drummond.
I think my favourite is the last one as it’s a very famous event in Edinburgh’s history.
In town again tomorrow as L getting her flu/covid vaccination and then meeting another ex-colleague for chat and coffee. So more art tomorrow folks.
