Da Kiln Bar and Scalloway Waterfront
A fine dry day, mostly cloudy with some sunny spells, bitterly cold.
Up early, things changed today and ended up on the toon essykert for the day. Philip driving and loading with Craig. The morning was plastic recycling waste, and then business black bag waste in the afternoon. Walkies with Sammy after work, popped by Madeline's too. Another shift in the shop this evening, and it's been super busy. Feet up before bed.
I nipped away from work this morning, to attend a funeral, friend and old boss, Vera Setrice. She sadly took ill when away on holiday a few months ago, passed away nine days ago. I worked with Vera for twelve years in the pub (Kiln Bar), great fun we used to have. Thoughts with the family, during this sad time. Vera will be a miss around the village, especially during the summer when she often stopped and spoke over the fence when spotted me in the garden. Looking down to the Kiln Bar and Scalloway waterfront.
