2024 Tuesday : Daughter’s Arrival
We were up before the sun this morning and realized quickly we weren't going to see sunlight; rain was falling.
Turtlenecks, flannel over-shirts, thick socks, and rain shoes were on today's wardrobe list. We've been tiptoeing toward this holiday for weeks.
Today, Tuesday, mid morning our Thanksgiving holiday arrived on the tarmac of our lives as our daughter parked her little white car in front of our place. The rain had decreased from a sprinkle to a spit and left us with wet pavement and porch puddles.
Our house filled with the aroma of coffee, the fragrance of flowers, and the familiarity of family. Now Thanksgiving is in our house as well as in our hearts.
Good night from
California’s Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
