Life is a Challenge!

A LOVELY UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER

After such a beautiful day weather-wise yesterday, and as it was noticeably very much colder, we decided we would go out for coffee and there are no prizes for guessing where we went!

We hadn’t been sitting down for long before Gill, a friend came in and said she was waiting for her husband, so we moved from our small table to the table next to us, so that we could all sit together.

We had a lovely time chatting with Gill and Dave and before we knew it, the morning had almost vanished - we all had shopping to do, so we bid our farewells, with a hope that we would meet them again before Christmas.

As our favourite charity shop, DEBRA, is only just along the road, we had to pop in there and I was fortunate enough to find a couple of books and Mr. HCB found a jigsaw - what a surprise!  When we left, I decided to take a shot of their window display - and I have to say that these always look amazing.  Some of the volunteers are so talented in their window dressing skills and this one is no exception - so I hope you don’t mind a Christmas display - well it is only 27 days until Christmas Eve!

Mr. HCB went for an echocardiogram on Monday and the results came in today - we haven’t a clue what all the “medical jargon” means so he rang the surgery to see if he could speak to a doctor.  He was told that he needs to ring on Monday morning at 9.30 for an appointment in week commencing 16th December,  but if it was urgent, the doctor would contact him!  All he wants is someone to interpret the medical terminology but 5 minutes on the phone to a doctor is not going to happen - and he has to take an appointment which might stop someone else who is more in need from getting one.  It just doesn’t make sense - well not to us anyway!

Take care and stay safe and warm!  M xx
