Busy

I seemed to spend most of the morning rearranging the cupboards under the stairs because our recycling can now include glass for the first time and therefore I don’t need two containers in the house.

When we moved here there was one door into the cupboard, which meant it wasn’t utilised efficiently, so we had it stripped back and had three separate shiny, white panels installed along the length of the stairs.  No handles, just push slightly to release the magnets inside.

Coats and shoes in the main compartment along with the vac and Karcher floor cleaner.  Boots and walking shoes on the floor of compartment two.  Recycle box above it and my sewing machine at the back.  Hats, gloves and scarves on the top shelf.  Compartment three has spare beer, peg bag and box to carry out the wet washing and a few flower vases and pots.

This afternoon I’ve been over to a friend’s for afternoon tea and notice the river has burst its banks.  All the river bridges are closed so the traffic is heavy, having to find alternative routes.
