The Meeting House

Another nostalgic visit for me today to my old alma mater, the University of Sussex, while Mrs Catspaw was at a meeting at the University of Brighton on the opposite side of the A27.

This is the interior of one of the earlier buildings on the Univeristy campus, Sir Basil Spence's richly-glazed 1966 non-sectarian / non denominational place of worship, The Meeting House.

My visit to the campus today was as rewarding as it was nostalgic, affording me the opportunity for several enjoyable conversations with current staff, one of the chaplains, and one or two current students on the site.
