Evicted

After discovering the nibbled chocolate yesterday evening, we set up the live trap with some of the chocolate in it.

It was still empty this morning.

As we were drinking our morning cuppa, we saw two mice running across the dining room.  So we moved the trap into there.  Later, W went out to get some connectors to repair Husky's damaged boundary wire, and whilst he was out, this cheeky mouse was quite active, running around the dining room, and at one stage popping up on the kitchen stove!

Shortly after W got home, there was a loud clattering, and we had a mouse.  It was already getting dark, and cold, so I'm afraid he was released at the bottom of the garden, rather than any further away, so he maybe back.  A couple of hours later, by which time it was fully dark, we caught a second, who was similarly evicted.

We've left the trap set up and baited, in case there are more.

In other news, W succeeded in repairing the guide wire, so Husky is back at work.
