Making an entrance...
Christmas at the Glorious Playground
As we got home from South Queensferry yesterday we noticed that Gleneagles and its surroundings were lit up in spectacular fashion, the likes of which we've never seen in the 13 years we've lived here. Yes, their decs are usually lovely but this year LOTS of the trees have lights and there are themed lights on the roundabout by the main entrance, which itself is spectacular (and features as my blip)
We couldn't stop last night as I needed the loo, but we popped along this evening for a proper look and to take some photos. Coincidentally an ad popped up on my FB earlier offering me a three night stay over New Year with prices starting from £9k!
Now, if you fancy a traditional Scottish New Year, being spoiled with delicious home cooking and fine wine, relaxing in front of a roaring fire and warming your cockles as well as your toes with a single Highland malt whisky, then I can offer that experience, a stone's throw from Gleneagles, for a special introductory offer of just £5k for three nights. Blip Mates Rates ;-))))
Sadly I can't offer a golden eagle to perch on your gloved hand, but we do have couple of very friendly wood pigeons in the garden, who I am sure would oblige for some nuts and seeds. And of course we have our golden girl Lola, who can give any Gleneagles gun dog a run for their money, and will happily snuggle next to you as you relax and enjoy some highland hospitality. I may even throw in a complimentary Empire biscuit or two ;-))
Before admiring the lights, I spent this afternoon answering the call of a blip pal who needed a fast favour...a Blob Cat painting for a Christmas gift needed at the beginning of next week. Tomorrow I'll be costume creating for the murder mystery on Friday, then we'll be off to Eyemouth on Friday morning, so he just caught me on time.
Enjoyed my time in the studio recreating the recipient's cat in blob style whilst listening to Kate Bush. Bliss :-)
Wee trip out to Gleneagles, back for dinner then Tesco online order followed by the fourth episode of Shetland. It is SO good! :-))
