Welcome…..
Our London hotel has ample opportunities for finding blips. Art ‘Otel has ‘art’ installations everywhere, and eventually has an artist in residence - though we didn’t have the chance to see her working. Everything is quirky, high-tech and rather dark (literally). It’s not everyone’s cup of tea - but we rather like it!
The emphasis is on Pop Art, as the escalator that takes you up to reception shows. Lifts recognise your floor from your keycard, direct you to a particular lift which takes you to that floor. There are no buttons in the lift itself. And as we’re on the 14th floor of this tower, the views over the city are fantastic. From the weekend breakfast hub on the 24th floor, they’re even better.
So now back home after a relatively trouble free journey (the train was just an hour late) and well into the chaos that precedes a two month trip. I’m still trying to work out a strategy for packing the vast amount of medical ‘stuff’ needed!
Apologies for being so far behind both in my posts and in my responses to your journals. None of this is helped by the fact that I seem to keep getting thrown out of my blip account and have to sign in again - has anyone else had this problem?
Today’s main is the hotel reception, with various other hotel shots in extras, together with the view from our room taken when we arrived on Friday.
