Wednesday: Shock To The System

Not only did I return to work today after a month off but, after 12 years away, I also had to return to the delights of morning commuter trains.

My first day was manageable. We now have a system of hot-desking so there’s always a bit of anxiety that you’re taking someone’s favourite spot. But I managed to get through the day without upsetting anyone so that’s a good result.

K. came up to meet me after work and we met up with S&S for an excellent dinner at ‘Milk Bar’ in Soho. This sculpted head was outside.

I was out far later than I should have been on a school night, made even later by there being significant train issues on the way home.
