Paperwhites

I bought this as a set with three bulbs and compost and the moss and said they will be out at Christmas which I thought would be nice but they sprouted after a week with amazing long stems . I must say though that the smell is quite overpowering and for such a small flower!

Today we went to Nero (again) as S was away in Flasgow to a funeral of an old family friend, who was 88 and in poor health. After Nero we went over the road to Claire’s shop for dog treats and where Lucca also gets a treat. Round the corner to the bread shop and she gets a treat in there too! Happy Lucca.

S wasn’t home till teatime. I had a busy afternoon in the garden emptying the pots of the dead flowers that had hung on till the frost a week or so ago. Planted some spring bulbs in the pots. It was a lovely sunny afternoon too.

I was going to go to the camera club but I talked myself out of it…..

Instead I watched a short drama series on Now TV called Olive Kitteridge, starring Frances McDiarmid which is brilliant.
