Mary's Old Hoose
I ‘walked’ up to the village Community Café this morning. Another beautiful morning, fine and fresh, gradually warming up. Just the kind of day for a plebiscite. My recent absence had been noted at the café, the usual cast of characters was present and all seemed to remember their lines. I even had a chat with Wullie Groat and a brief interlude with Rosie (sans Eoin). Karen came and sat with me and had cake – for her breakfast I think. She’s the only accordion maven I know. She indicated she had been at a meeting of ‘Destination Orkney’. There doesn’t appear to be any guidance available of what to do if you’re bitten by a tourist. Karen offered me a lift home; I demurred and preferred to hobble. She went home to investigate ‘Get Carter’. You’ll be pleased to hear that is all.
