Gratitude

Just how difficult is it to express gratitude in an abstract ! I went on a stroll through the garden, but nothing there seemed abstract enough. I ended up with an abstracted macro of a hydrangea leaf with all its great autumn colours, because nature in all its forms does make me happy and grateful and helps me when I'm down. I'm grateful for the people in my life who I love, grateful that I'm still functioning despite being a carrier of a very bad gene, and very grateful for nature and its ever going life force.
