Mileage

This is the mileometer on my poor car. By the time we've been out in it tonight, it will show over 239,000 miles. As I'm changing it on Tuesday, it won't get up to 240,000 and to my great disappointment will not reach a quarter of a million miles. That would have been most impressive.

Pretty dull day to day, with a few drops of rain in the mid-afternoon, but not amounting to anything serious. I couldn't get the shopping yesterday, as we were out in Exeter, so it was an unusual Saturday morning trip. My wife came with me, and as she'd been up until about quarter to three on Prayer Pastor duty, she was a bit vague at times! Still, we got everything done in the end.

This afternoon I printed a few more cards out and had to look at one of the tyres on the car. It only has to last 'til Tuesday, but it's managed to pick up a slow puncture in one of the rear tyres, so I had to pump that up again. Fortunately, I have a little compressor, which did the job quickly.

Tonight, we're off to a wedding reception in on of the local hotels. Don't know how long my wife will last after her late night last night. I may have to keep sticking pins in her to keep her awake!
