I had a domesticated day.
With the flu-like symptoms resulting from yesterday's vaccinations, that was the best I could do. Of course, that is what I usually do on Thursdays anyway.
This evening I made chestnut soup from a French recipe. I am sure I have never cooked with chestnuts before. I am sure I had never eaten them until I went to work in France as a youngster (well, 19 year old).
The soup turned out really well, and is about as seasonal as you can get. Here is the recipe/"how to..." video - marrons.
Marrons are easily confused with Macron and macarons, so stay focussed folks.
