Holy Island

I am so pleased it was foggy on Thursday when I tried to go to Holy Island. Not only was it a glorious day today but they also had a re-enactment of the making of the Lindisfarne Gospels which was really interesting and provided even more photos!

I spent the whole day on the island, as long as the tide would allow. I started by photographing along the causeway, then around the priory, followed by a walk to the castle. It was lovely to soak in the atmosphere and the peace of the place.
