Smoke Bush Patterns

Today is Thanksgiving in the US. It’s one of my favorite holidays. You eat delicious food, spend time with people you love, and take time to think about what you are thankful for in your life.

My day included a wonderful long conversation with my son in New York. We probably talked an hour about all kinds of things. I suggested we tell each other things we are thankful for beyond the people in our lives. My assumption was that people we love are the thing we are most thankful for. So that goes without saying. Mine were music and art. His were creating and the difficult people who made him learn more about himself.

At 2:00 Shelly and I joined friends for Thanksgiving dinner. When our host suggested we share things we were thankful for I made the same suggestion I had made to my son. I really enjoyed learning new things about my friends.

For those of you not in the US I encourage you to take a moment and think about things you are thankful for. To all a very happy Thanksgiving Day.
