Carlisle

We had some 'train journey credit'  that required to be used up soon, so we've come down to Carlisle for the day ...

... collage shows: the magnificent internal roof of Carlisle Cathedral; an external shot of the Cathedral; a view looking over to Carlsle Castle; and some detail from a Sheila Fell painting, whose (rather wonderful!) exhibition has just opened at the Tullie Museum & Art Gallery.

I always like visiting Carlisle - lived and worked here for a year, way back in 1985, and it holds many happy memories for me :-)

We're heading back up to Edinburgh early evening - a busy "moving day" beckons tomorrow!
