Instead of shopping.

First walk with me for the husband since his foot surgery. Not a long hike but we saw some strange things. We walked at Barnwell State Park because we knew it was not a park that had huge amounts of hikers. No other people on the trail but a few in the campground area and the cabin area. It was cold this morning so maybe that is why no one was walking.

Barnwell was not in the hardest hit area of Hurricane Helene so we saw very few tree piles. But we saw a few big trees laying on the ground along the trail. One huge oak we had to walk around and then this pine whose roots were under the boardwalk so they pushed the boardwalk right up when it fell. This tree and the oak are probably 50 feet tall. Wind and soggy wet ground are not a good thing.

Cold weather and possible frosty morning coming this week. I already have a cover ready for my camellia bush just in case.
