Black Friday
I've been on repeat from yesterday, arranging, playing etc.
Around two o'clock I fled my island to go to Kalmar for a few minor errands. The sun was briefly visible and I roamed the streets during "Black Friday" the merchants big day and a start of Christmas financial hysteria. I realised, while I was roaming, that the streets were almost empty, I went to a café to have a cup of chocolate and a mazarin and read my new book, in solitude. The markets outside Kalmar, like IKEA and all those other big places, had all the people. Luckily I wasn't there.
When I'm in town I mostly go into one of the bookshops to see if anything leaped at me. This time a book called "Greek Lessons" by Han Kang, the Nobel prize winner this year. Usually I randomly open the book somewhere and read from somewhere on a page. In this case, I noticed that the language was stunningly good and gripping, I look forward to reading it.
