Buried treasure

We have found lots of old glass in the garden over the years.

These pieces seem to come from late Victorian or early twentieth century bottles. The torpedo-shaped blue/green bottle was for carbonated water. The design was deliberate, meaning they had to be stored on their side, which stopped the cork from drying out.

This photograph is part of a panel of three for an informal competition at my camera club.
