I sometimes see videos on Instagram of cats faking injury to earn extra treats/priveleges.
Sadly our wild stray Louis doesn't have to resort to this as he has an old injury to a front paw which means he hops along and turns up every night for food and he has now taken to sleeping in a comfy bed in our garage. We get immeasurable pleasure from watching him on a camera app as he startles and runs off if we get too near him.
