After the night's mist and frost!,

It was very foggy last night and then the temperature dropped considerably. Then the surroundings suddenly look different.
Last night I let the meat for pea soup simmer. This morning I let it simmer for another hour and now I'm adding the split peas. I'll add the pea soup vegetables in a moment, chop the meat, maybe add a potato to thicken the soup. A little bit with the hand blender, but you also need to see some vegetables, not mush.
Later I'll bake some pancakes to go with it and enjoy.
I'm also filling a bowl with soup for a lady from church. She became a widow this summer and doesn't have much money. I often keep food for her in the freezer and then bring it over. She's always very happy with it.
