One Street
I walked to the village shop this morning to take a parcel only to be told that their machine was broken, again. When I arrived home Simon our son-in-law and Victoria our granddaughter had paid a surprise visit. Once they left, I drove the parcel to Saffron Walden as it needed to go today.
After a late lunch I did some emails and other small jobs, before reading my Book Group book, which needs to be finished by Tuesday!
Today’s picture is of the lane in front of our house; part of my “One Street”. GottsChalk from Harlow filled in some of the holes this morning with building site rubble which included odd bits of roofing felt and other rubbish; it is now a sea of mud. A small piece of land is for sale, further down the lane, which has been a builder’s yard, so maybe it has been sold. Or more likely it has not been sold because of the state of the lane!
The temperature at noon today was twelve degrees Celsius.
