Edward VII Statue, Museum Gardens , Lichfield

A bit of a record shot; I was originally drawn to the high cloud behind the statue. The statue was sculpted in 1908 and has recently been cleaned. In researching the Museum Gardens I have since realised that a bronze sculpture in another part of the gardens is in memorial to Captain Smith of the ill fated Titanic. I was aware of the local connection.

The weather has broken this evening and we are back to 'typical' recent summer weather.
