Eye to Eye

Double Robin

I don’t think I’ve ever seen one on the lake before. There must’ve been something nice to eat in the moss.

Another mini crisis with Preston today as he managed to lick off his dressing on the amputation site! Fortunately he didn’t pull the stitches out. He’s now on antibiotics and is wearing an Elizabethan collar! (Extra, not a happy cat).

P.S. RIP. Auntie Jean, who died yesterday aged 99 but I just heard now. She lived in her own little cottage till the end. When I used to ring her she was full of questions about what I was doing. She reckoned that reading avidly was her secret for a long life, with a glass of red on the side. She was the last of my parents’ generation and her eldest daughter, one of my cousins, is 80 now. I guess that makes us the older generation now.
