Optical illusion? Or is it?……….read on…..
I had a better night last night for the first time since my operation,
Got off to sleep in between waking much more quickly.
I didn’t have my nightly cup of tea from the flask by the bed, till 5:40am.,
Then I went to sleep again and woke up after 8:00am.
I think having had two short walks yesterday in the sunshine and fresh air helped,
Usual routine of exercises first thing, then after lunch Stephen drove us to a a small access road at the rear of Moor Hall Hotel and parked the car. It means you can then reach Moor Hall Drive which runs alongside the private golf course, and makes for a lovely walk along the tree lined route with the golf course on either side. Normally we would be doing this walk as a circular beginning from home.
This is a halfway point,
On reaching the main road at the end we walked on as far the Mitchell’s Farmhouse Bistro and Craft Centre, where I had a treat of a Gingerbread Hot Chocolate.
I stayed there whilst Stephen then went back to retrieve the car and come and pick me up. He parked nearby.
As we reached the car once more I was struck by the reflection of the trees near by on to its roof.
I took the photo!
Once I looked at it on my iPad with its larger screen, I loved the way the trees seem to be standing in water,
A little later, a friend of ours came for awhile.
Good to see her,
When I looked at my step count for the afternoon walk, it was just over a mile, albeit slowly, on crutches,
But I so enjoyed it
It has been incredibly mild today reaching 12C.
November ending on a quiet note.
And so tomorrow there really isn’t any more excuse for ignoring the inevitable!
