Hot Club

(30/11/24)

For several months now, we've watched this new restaurant get ready for its opening. We thought it would happen before the summer, but for some reason, it stalled. The lights were on in the evening for weeks but that stopped as well. It was a big surprise then when we noticed activity at the start of the week.

G had been out for a coffee with the 4-get-me-not leader and came home saying that Hot Club was having a grand opening with a live band and all. Well, we had to check it out, so after a much-needed unstressed day at the "office", we walked out to have a drink at Sibul, and then got some pictures of Hot Club on the way home.

They certainly created a buzz. Scores of people were there to listen to live music. The noise continued until midnight. I wonder how this new restaurant will change the area.

My extra is of G with her hibiscus tea - a hot one this time. I had an iced dalgona. And our long National Day weekend begins. Now rebranded to Eid Al Etihad (Celebration of the Union), there are UAE flags everywhere.
