Table top treasure trove….

Another day of the usual- feeding cattle.
Only difference is it was me , myself and I.
Mrs F was having to work too as it was one of the assessment days at school.
Michael called in at lunch time to show me some of the things he had unearthed while metal detecting in some of our fields down the road.
They included a WW2 anti tank bullet,some of the 60 odd lead musket balls (probably to do with the proximity to Borthwick Castle)
Also a silver coin, military buttons and a horse shaped part of a shoe buckle.
Makes you realise that the land we farm has seen an awful lot of previous traffic over the centuries.
